November 17,2011- Los Angeles CA. A crowd of about 800 plus protesters took to the streets of Los Angeles make their way along Figueroa st. to 4th st. this morning causing major traffic jams in the city. Twenty three anti wall street protesters most of whom sat in a circle in a downtown financial district intersection who refused to disperse -- were arrested today.
The bulk of the arrests were made around 9:30 a.m. at Fourth and Figueroa streets, where 21 people sat in a circle around a trio of tents that protesters erected in the intersection at the end of the march that was closely monitored by police.
A number of protesters were carried away by officers but most of the arrestees walked off, escorted by uniformed officers wearing helmets with face guards. Photo by Gene Blevins/LA Daily News
