LONG BEACH - 10/13/2011 - (Staff Photo: Scott Varley) Students at Holy Innocents Elementary in Long Beach got some help from LBFD Station 7 and their ladder truck as they dropped eggs from a height of 80 feet. Principal Sister Madeleine helped drop the eggs from the top of the ladder. This was part of a physical science experiment to see who could build a contraption with certain materials that would help the egg survive the high drop. About half of the nearly 40 eggs that were dropped survived the fall.
