Grey whales migrate off the coast of Palos Verdes and Long Beach on their way down to Baha Mexico.
1/19/11 - The fluke (or tail) of a grey whale momentarily breaks the water off the coast of Palos Verdes on a grey afternoon. The whales can be seen this time of year as they continue their 5,000 to 6,800 mile migration from the north to the warmer waters off the coast of Baja Mexico.
The trip was sponsored by the Aquarium of the Pacific and Harbor Breeze Cruises in Long Beach.
