02-05-10- A member of the LBPD looks a what appears to be the sole of a shoe in the street near a damaged Honda Civic is elevated by wooden blocks, next to the body of a 45-year-old female, covered by a blue tarp, who died after being hit by the Civic on Seventh Street, west of East Campus Drive. The Civic, stopped and then was hit from behind by a maroon Ford Ranger pickup truck. No injuries were reported in either vehicle, and both drivers were released, said Long Beach Police Department Det. Brian Watt. Police received a call of a pedestrian being hit and a traffic accident at 9:33 p.m. Paramedics from the Long Beach Fire Department pronounced the woman dead at the scene, Watt said. Papers were found in the woman's bag that may indicate she is affiliated with CSULB.
